Meal Plan Smarter, Not Harder

Heather Zeman, MS RDN LDN

Recipes and meal plans from your registered dietitian nutritionist here in Boston’s Back Bay.

We’ve all been there: staring into the depths of the refrigerator after work; bored with lunch and ordering takeout again; finding the time to grocery shop and maybe having an idea of what to buy.

Even worse? That mid-afternoon energy crash, hunger pangs at the gym, stress around what to eat, and knowing that you should be doing something else to better support yourself. (Try one of my favorite filling breakfasts, Whipped Banana Oatmeal, to start!)

Enter: Meal Planning

Crafting a plan, writing a grocery list, and shopping intentionally is the ideal, right? After all, planning ahead has been associated with more variety (great for the gut!) and better overall diet quality compared to flying by the seat of your pants.

But it isn’t always possible or, frankly, enjoyable! Even if you know what to eat, taking the time to tie it all together into a comprehensive plan can be a challenge. So, I’ve partnered with a meal-planning platform to tackle these unknowns and reduce the stress associated with recipe searching, meal planning, and grocery shopping. Taking care of yourself should not be a burden.

How It Works

After our initial meeting, you’ll have a dynamic plan (updated every 3, 5, or 7 days) customized to fit your health needs, cooking abilities, dietary preferences, and fitness goals. See the additional details (including further personalization, online grocery delivery, and my ongoing support) here.

Current patients have turned to meal plans to support themselves in a variety of ways, including:

  • Nourishment: Wellness professional focusing on nutritious meals while trying to conceive

  • Variety & Health: Couple exploring veganism and seeking to improve metabolic health

  • Performance: Fitness professional training for a black belt with confidence about meeting energy needs

  • Self-Care: Parent seeking to prioritize their own dietary habits while reducing stress
